Bideona produces terroir-driven, site-specific wines from historic, low-yielding vineyards in Rioja Alavesa

We created Bideona* to contribute decisively to a new generation of Rioja wines – more expressive of origin than method of production.

We believe it is a crucial and fascinating moment for Rioja, when the region finally starts to articulate its diversity and offer not only excellent wines of style, but also wines of place, capable of expressing its landscapes, villages and vineyards in the glass. At Bideona, we wish to contribute decisively to this.

Bodega Bideona is the culmination of more than a decade of efforts by a unique and eclectic group of wine professionals. We aspire to produce wines that are a benchmark for Rioja Alavesa as one of the great places in the world, as well as contributing to the economic and environmental sustainability of our landscapes and ecosystems
